Exciting News!

I am working on a new book to provide teachers with the ideas and resources they need to create energetic, engaging, and relevant music appreciation courses.

As I’m writing, it looks like there will be two main sections:

1. Philosophy. I believe that a good portion of teaching a course like Music Appreciation is having a grounded philosophy on what the course means and what you want your students to get out of it. By reading the chapters in this portion of the book, you’ll be in a position to view both the course and curricular design process differently. 
2. Unit Ideas. The second half of the book will include unit ideas for use in the classroom. Each chapter will demonstrate how the units were designed in an effort to help teachers feel more comfortable creating their own units.
